Senior Associate Real Estate & Construction (m/f/d)

We are looking for a Senior Associate to join our Real Estate & Construction team in Bulgaria.

Our team advises local and international investors, developers, lenders, and contractors on complex real estate, construction, and infrastructure projects. You will focus on real estate and construction law, working on high-value domestic and cross-border matters across the full project lifecycle.

You will work on a wide range of sophisticated and high-profile matters where legal expertise goes hand in hand with commercial awareness and practical problem-solving. This is an environment where you can take on responsibility from day one while continuing to develop professionally and personally.

How you’ll contribute

  • Advising on complex real estate transactions, including acquisitions, disposals, development projects, and leasing matters
  • Supporting construction and infrastructure projects, including drafting and negotiating development and construction agreements
  • Advising on zoning, permitting, regulatory, and transaction structuring matters
  • Conducting legal due diligence and supporting transactions from structuring to closing
  • Managing client relationships, leading workstreams, and mentoring junior team members

What matters to us

  • 8+ years of post-qualification experience in real estate and/or construction law, ideally gained at a reputable international or strong local law firm
  • Proven experience with complex real estate transactions and construction or infrastructure projects
  • Strong expertise in Bulgarian real estate, construction, and related regulatory law
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills, including experience with development and construction contracts (FIDIC experience is an advantage)
  • A proactive, hands-on, and collaborative approach, combined with strong commercial judgment and communication skills
  • Bulgarian law degree and admission to the Bulgarian Bar (or eligibility)
  • Excellent command of English; additional international qualifications or postgraduate studies are an advantage
